Welcome to Maison du Galuchat, we’re a small family-run Franco-Thai company specializing in small luxury leather goods in stingray since 2013. As such, we offer a wide selection of high quality items made from the magnificent leather of stingray: watch straps, jewelry, bags, wallets, covers and cases for the latest generation of smartphones.
A peculiar and difficult craft
Shagreen is difficult to work with due to its exceptional strength, it is indeed the strongest leather in the world and few people have the experience and expertise to work with this unique material. Our team shares the same passion for a job well done, beautiful finishes and an exceptional sense of service.
Limited series production only
As shagreen is a difficult and time-consuming material, all our products are made in limited series (we produce a maximum of 300 items per year). All our products are handmade.
Preserving tradition
In the digital age, many manual trades are disappearing, and shagreen techniques are also destined to be forgotten. Our aim is to preserve this know-how and continue working with shagreen, undeniably the most beautiful leather in the world.
